my need was for boxes that had a bench for storage. I wanted some of the teak ones but a few factors and some serious thought had me go to the BRISBANE..i am impressed with the guage of the material and the quality of the material. the other factor is that it is easy on the eye also. quite attractive. i read the reviews and when my two units arrived, i went to the store and bought fasteners that would not rust as other folks had mentioned.mine wil not rust now.i wish the legs were a bit longer to raise the height of the seat up to a comforting 23 inches instead of 18 inches. I put decorator cement blocks under them to raise them to 23 inches. more comfortable. could you make them with a 18 and/or 23 in height? i think the box is all you say it is, my only concern was the price... i still shake my head on this and then i groan again.. the price.. the price. a bit too high. but i did it...

This is a really well-built box, and it looks great. For the money, though, I am surprised that there are no little shock-absorber safety dampers to keep the lid from slamming on little fingers. I am going to install some from the old box we are replacing with this one, and I expect this box to last a long time!

I really needed a place to store my gardening tools/supplies that was close to my flowers. I also needed seating for my front porch. This bench is the perfect solution. It looks great and is functional. Well made, attractive, large storage capacity - glad I purchased it! Got rid of the clutter on my porch. My only wish was that it wasn't so expensive, and even with that said, I am so glad I did buy it!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This bench looks great, but the screws rusted the first week. I was a little weary of spending this much on it- knowing how expensive it would be to ship/return. I do feel it looks better than the plastic deck boxes available at most big box stores. We use it to store toys on our deck- and it rained a ton the first week, and everything stayed dry! The screws unfortunetly rusted right away- and that was disapointing. It was easy to assemble- my four year old even helped!
