We've always had a bench in front of our home. Unfortunately, a car damaged our last one, and since it is difficult to purchase a bench such as this kind at this time of the year, I decided to purchase this one here. Disappointed, because compared to our last one, this one seemed flimsy, almost more like a child bench. Metal is much thinner than what we've had. Back seems higher in the picture. My husband even reinforced the slats, because it looks too flimsy. Overall I felt it looked cheap compared to the others we've owned. I guess you get what you pay for...normally, we spent $150.00 on them in the past. Wish I would have spent the extra $50.00 on another bench..Because don't think this is going to last through the winter...If you want quality, keep shopping..or wait until Spring where you can look at one in person at [...]

Looks just as represented, attractive, strong, well designed, but like other Chinese products the bolts are made out of hard cheeze and will separate if you tighten them beyond their limited capacity. This partiular unit has a serious casting flaw in one of the two uprights which I do not think will cause a problem, but if it does it can be welded. This should not have either passed inspection or been sold other than as a factory second. Just so you know, it's a crack near the top that runs three of the four sides, but doesnt seem to be deeper than a sixteenth inch so it should be strong enough. It looks like the casting mold broke shortly after the iron was cast or else it was dumped out while the iron was still plastic.

THE BENCH CAME DAMAGED. TOP PART CRACKED, AND A BIG SCRATCH IN THE SEAT AREA. WHILE PUTTING IT TOGETHER ONE OF THE BOLTS BROKE IN THE WOOD. THE PRODUCT DOES NOT LOOK ITS WATERPROOFED. THE UNDERNEATH OF THE SEATING AREA WAS NOT TREATED LIKE THE TOP PORTION WAS.
