The bench is sturdy and looked beautiful, but within a few days two of the beams have began to splinter and crack. I would have been perfect if it wasn't for the issues with the wood. Disappointed.

I have to write another review because the website doesn't give me the option or revising my first one from Sept 1. We put this bench outside for only 3 days and it has cracked paint, split wood, and brown spots from the wood sap coming through the paint. It looks like the wood is so "new" that the sap is leaking through the paint and the spots will not scrub off. The wood is cracking which makes the paint crack. And, of course, we can't return it because we already threw out the box and assembled the bench -- it would cost a fortune to return. Hopefully it will "age" well but it will never look new -- even for a week...

We only just received this bench, but we love the way it looks. The directions could have been a little more detailed -- but can't they always! We got it together in less than an hour and it is sitting in our back garden. It looks great and seems sturdy.

Arrived on time and quickly, easy to put together, solid, as represented, good value.

Only downside: One small piece was left unpainted, will have to touch up.

I bought this bench for my porch, to compliant two wooden rockers. It is good and looks good. We will use it spring, summer and fall, and store during the winter. We live in upstate New York, where the winters are harsh.
