The problem with most benches is that they are too short for use with a Hammond organ - most "furniture" type benches are only 18" or so tall. A Hammond bench needs to be 24" tall, and wide enough to fit over the organ's pedalboard. A "stock" Hammond bench is 37" long, 24" high, and 16" wide. This Oakridge bench matches all those dimensions except for the length, which is 42" - not a problem. "Real" Hammond organ benches are *very* expensive - more than four times what this Oakridge bench costs. If an organ bench is what you need, you can't lose with this one - I love mine! The hardware is a bit on the cheesy side - I cammed one of the hex drive holes out while assembling mine; I was, however, using real tools instead of the disposable hex key that came with the hardware pack. I have been looking for a counter height bench for over a year when I stumbled on this bench. I was a little skeptical, but I have to say the description was right on the money. The style is a wonderful turned leg design which goes with a traditional or as in my case, a french country design. The product is solid wood construction and the perfect height for my table. I REALLY love this bench!
