I gave this a 4 star because it looks great, is a warm dark oak color, wood is of quality, and it's priced right. However, it does require 2 people to assemble, is not easy to assemble even though directions and bags of screws and parts were well-labeled, and the screws to the seat that fasten to the back are far too short to keep the seating from falling into the trunk portion. Like many reviewers here we had to go to [@] and buy 1 1/2 inch wood screws and bolts to fasten. Then it worked perfectly and looks nice in our entry door. I guess for the price, I didn't mind paying $4 for some screws and bolts than spending an additional [$] for a more expensive item that was easy to assemble, and cherry-colored hall trees just do not match my living room area. Just expect to buy the screws when you buy this item.

Hall tree was just as described. I ordered it on a Wednesday morning and received it on Friday. I couldn't believe how quickly it came. Would definetly purchase from them again

I was looking to purchase a hall tree for all the kids coats/back packs and shoes that piled up by the door. I needed something for organization. After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this one. Overall, I am happy with the product. I put it together in about 2 1/2 hours, it would have taken me less time if I didn't have to take it apart twice because someone was one backwards. The directions were not very clear, those could be better. The back of the peice of furniture is particle board, it would have been nice if those peices were wood like most the rest of the parts are. But overall, it does what I want it to do.

Looks great in our family room.We wanted something to catch the kids coats and backpacks. Easy to put together-no complaints at all. Happy with this product.
